Why should you attend?

“By focusing on the habitat rather than the animal [Delacre] reinforces the important concept of interconnectedness. In a nice departure from the usual bilingual book produced in the States, Spanish is presented first… both languages have been allowed to breathe and sound fluent.”—Kirkus Reviews

“[Starin’s] is certainly a creative spin on inclusivity—an issue never before approached through agile polar-bear paw positions or the graceful lifting of camels in the air.”—Kirkus Reviews

“Dominguez’s bold, playful pictures keep the focus squarely on the giraffes’ one-on-one interactions as she demonstrates something that many children know intuitively: speaking different languages is a minor detail when it comes to making new friends.”―Publishers Weekly

“Swanson’s fanciful and whimsical exploration of the meeting of imagination and story is strengthened by the jewel-toned colors and sheer scope of Behr’s illustrations.”―Kirkus Reviews

“Quietly poetic text and show-stopping artwork create a tense account of a coyote’s nocturnal search for food. Gianferrari instantly establishes an atmospheric setting [and] Ibatoulline’s paintings are downright astonishing in this book.”―Publishers Weekly, starred review

“Lê schools children who are new to reading on the evils of the spoiler… Roxas’s mixed-media illustrations take the boy―and readers―on an imaginative journey.”―The Horn Book

Princesses Only Wear Putta-Puttas brings the beauty of India to readers the world around and gives a peek into how immigrant families maintain their native cultures while assimilating to their adopted countries.

“The lively dinos gathered here [in One More Dino on the Floor] show that they can cut a rug with the best of them… it’s hard not to get caught up in the frivolity.”—Booklist

“{Ali Pfautz] is so absolutely engaging! Her energy and enthusiasm holds the children’s complete attention. Even our two year old class was absolutely glued to her story!”—Lisa Zambito, Bon View School
