General Directions to Charlottesville:
Charlottesville and Albemarle County are located in Central Virginia in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and are immediately accessible by U.S. Route 29 and Interstate 64, connecting with Interstates 95 and 81. The Monticello Visitors Center is located at exit 121 off of I-64.

Directions to Downtown Charlottesville:
From Route 29 North or South: Follow the signs to 250 Bypass East.
From 250 Bypass: Eastbound, take the Park Street exit, turn right. Westbound, take the Park Street exit, turn left. Follow Park Street to Court Square.
From I-64: Take exit 120, Fifth Street, towards Charlottesville. Continue 2.5 miles past the Omni Hotel to Preston Avenue. Turn right on Preston, which becomes Market Street.
From Monticello: Exit right on Route 53, continue to Route 20. Turn right on Route 20 North for 1 mile to High Street. Turn left on High Street, Continue to Court Square.
From the Rotunda, University of Virginia: Travel East on University Avenue, which becomes West Main Street, for 1 mile. Turn left on McIntire Road. Turn right on Preston Avenue, which becomes Market Street.
