Meredith Hindley is a historian and author of Destination Casablanca: Exile, Espionage, and the Battle for North Africa in World War II. She has also written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Daily Beast, Longreads, Salon, and The Christian Science Monitor. She received her PhD from American University and lives in Washington, D.C.
